gnop
gnop checks for contact with the server. It requires no access
level, and its syntax is :
gnop [<options>] [<switches>]
gnop outputs a diagnostic message indicating the result of
sending a NOP command to the server. The message is output to
either the terminal (in interactive mode), or the TO dataset..
Example :
$ gnop
Experimental GROGGS system RGTP server ready (no access yet)
Server response to NOOP is 200 NOOP command received.
Server rgtp-serv.groggs.group.cam.ac.uk:1431 is alive.
