gnewitems

gnewitems lists recent replies to GROGGS. It requires access level 1, and its syntax is :

gnewitems [<options>] [<switches>]

gnewitems lists all index entries made in the last 3 hours (the timescale can be changed using the last and hours options). An index entry is made whenever an item is replied to, edited, or created, or whenever the message of the day is changed. This command is useful for checking what's been happening recently. If an item is a continuation of another item, gnewitems will prefix its subject with the itemid of the previous item in square brackets like this : [K1234567], unless /nocont is set.

gnewitems formats its output for 80 columns (by default), and writes to the terminal (via a pagewaiter unless /display is on) in interactive mode, or the TO dataset in non-interactive mode.

The first column is the itemid.
The second is the user identifier, which usually corresponds to their email address - you can use the groggers command to get any information held about a grogger on the server (including full email address).
The third is the date (which will be of the form HH:MM DD MMM if the date is within 6 months of the time the command was issued, and of the form DD MMM YYYY otherwise).
The fourth is the type of index entry :
- R - Reply.
- I - New item inserted.
- F - This item has been continued.
- C - Continuation inserted.
- E - Item edited.
- M - Message of the day updated.
The last column is the beginning of the subject line.
